Taylor Swift Wins Artist of the Year at the 2022 American Music Awards

You need the sparkle of a diamond. At the American Music Awards in 2022, Taylor Swift won Artist of the Year for the seventh time in her career.

That, in my opinion, is due to the fact that you, the fans, made it plain that you wanted to hear a lot of music. I discovered that the more music I produced and released, the happier I became.

Swift has had a total of nine nominations for the AMAs' top award, winning in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

In 2019, she became the first female performer to receive Artist of the Decade, which Garth Brooks won in 2000 for his 1990s success.

The Grammy winner said in her acceptance speech, "All that matters to me are the memories I've had with you, the fans, throughout the years."

This album was inspired by "midnight terrors and lovely dreams," she wrote on Instagram in August

"Lavender Haze" is about her relationship with lover Joe Alwyn, who didn't attend the AMAs.

"I think a lot of individuals have to deal with this now — not just public personalities — because we live in the social media era... We've had to overlook odd rumors and tabloid things for six years.

Both of them realized that they were happiest when they were quietly doing their own thing.
